it 100% has to be the DFK, look on the Alpex Group on facebook they recently did a poll on this!
I use a PBIR-X with mine. The DFK gets recommended the most though I’d say.
Actually, there is nothing wrong with original HIKMICRO IR torch.
It will fill the whole field of view even at lowest magnification.
When set at full spot and alpex at 14x mag I can see fox at 300m more than clear enough.
Not that I would take a shot at sucha distance. But Alpex super sensitive sensor and 850nm LED IR torch are working great together.
It is small and not expensive.
Together with bracket it costs less than 100€.
I also have Solaris srx for PARD007, but for Alpex it is just too big and with too small field of illumination.

Two torches I've used with the Alpex 4k and can't see any discernible difference in performance is the Dark Engine Blade from Clive Ward and the Nightstar 850 from Blackwood Outdoors.
Another vote for dark engine blade, it’s slim profile lets it sit nicely above the LRF
