Irish Terrier?

There is a post on here from 4 years ago or so about an Irish Terrier for deer. I can't find a follow up. Interested in anyone's experience or advice on ITs in particular or looking to train terrier types in general. He is 18m old, strong but not ridiculous prey drive for roe, muntjac, fox in particular, hares and squirrels off the lead but mute when spotting or hunting and fairly obedient(!) so I thinking worth trying with, if it doesn't work no worries! All opinions and help welcome, thanks.

Terriers make excellent deer dogs, providing they are reasonably quiet while stalking.
I've used borders over the years and find they quickly learn what you require, my old bitch knows the difference between rifle work and shotgun work a cracker of a wee dog.
Am actually on the hunt for a decent border pup the now
