Is my jet sled repairable?

Totally my fault; dragged my jet sled (occupied) behind a quad on a snowy forest road this morning. Road not as snowy as I thought and I've worn a hole in it.

Brilliant sled and I'll buy another from Barry @Stirlinggundogs straight away if it's irreparable.

Sled has otherwise held up brilliantly and I don't want to chuck it if it can be repaired; any ideas folks?

Canoe type repair? I’ve a jet sled (excellent) and if in same boat ( sorry) would give that a go. Either polypropylene’welding’ with scrap melted polyprop (blue pipe, chopping board etc) or epoxy and fibres, though likely temporary.

Drill holes along each side of the split, staple/stitch it with hog rings, trim the excess wires then fibre glass sheet inside and out

Cheers Greenmist that sounds like it'll be stronger after the repair than it was before.

@Flash G 74 yep if I'm fixing it then runners seem a good shout. Normally it isn't used on the road, just a miscalculation today in the snow, but I'll definitely look into that. I think Barry sells metal runners specifically for the jet sled, will enquire. 👍

There are def nylon runners and they are a simple fit and very good

Repairs complete. A plastic welding kit for £13 complete with soldering iron and metal gauze did a passable job.

I covered the weld with a canoe repair patch and it looks serviceable again.

Will report back after a bit of use.

Patch I used was:
