How much and for how long ?
If it’s forever, SIPP. Tax relief going in and tax free growth plus flexibility taking it out.
Mid term, equity funds, and don’t peek. Just check once a year.
Short term, meh, hound your local Rolex dealer for the right watch and flip it, or just spend it anyway and have some fun.
If it’s less than 10k, bugger the above and just buy a motorbike.

I have a mate here that worked at Rover Birmingham and transferred to BMW Regensburg when they were BMW owned, he has been here 25 years. He is not into fancy cars so drove an old scrappy 3 series but he likes his watches so he bought a £10K Breitling.
He was coming back from Slovenia and the border customs stopped him then tore the car apart but found nothing and let him go on to Germany. He then went to Brum via Dover and the UK customs did the same, he complained "why" and one of the officers commented "drug dealers wear bling but use cheap cars to transport dope into the UK". Be warned.

You can also hold sheep physically...but lets not get onto that subject due to the Welsh connection

My wife booked it a few years back I was most unenthusiastic especially as it felt really decadent and against what I tend towards. However, apart from the fact it's sterile with basically zero wildlife, and impossible to find healthy food in there as apart from salad it's basically fast food (outside the main park Sports bar I think was cheapest, there's also a posh sounding French brasserie which was good for proper food but expensive, and the Rainforest place was ok), in hindsight the place has grown on me and I can see why people go back. Get the app to tell you where the queues are, expect to spend a LOT of time in queues, if in summer and it's hot, a Camelback is excellent when filled with ice and in a backpack (meant I coped better than the rest of them despite carrying everyone's drinks in 28-30°C average) and make use of everyone watching parades to get shorter queues (although the parades are fun too).We've booked Disney Paris for August mate. Can't wait to meet Olaf @ the new Frozen world!!

You'll wonder why this country can't be kept as clean and what is in the water that makes everyone seem so happy and nice there.

It’s a funny thing I work with an older chap (well he’s there …. ) who’s apparently a socialist but by god you try and take a penny more off him in taxes and get ready
I often remind him he’s a capitalist which he funnily enough doesn’t see

I could argue that anyone, regardless of political leaning, is defined more by their chosen actions than by tax they have to pay. My point being that I don't feel I'm being hypocritical.
