I would imagine by your original post and reply that you’ve never worked in a position of responsibility in a commercial business ?? Please forgive me if I’m wrong on that assumption..
 
Thinking back over the years to the (rare) times this has happened publicly on here before, I'm not sure I can remember a single time when it turned out to be a case of fraud. A few times it was a genuine misunderstanding, but almost invariably it ended up being a simple case of human fallibility. In other words, some disorganised bloke, leading a chaotic life, just getting himself in a bit of a muddle.

Up to you how you handle it (I do love a good hanging), but do be conscious that (thankfully) you're probably dealing with a fool rather than a knave.

I'm not saying what it is,I just expect to be treated the way I would treat someone, with a little courtesy, and if you say your going to do something, then do it,

That's a fair and reasonable expectation, particularly to those of us of a more - shall we say - Germanic disposition. I guess all I'm saying is that some people lead less ordered lives. It doesn't make 'em wrong-uns; just different from thee and me.

No biffo you are not wrong. I have never worked in a position of responsibility in a commercial business, and that may explain why I do not have two ha'pennys to rub together.

I do (thorough the course of my business) have some small insight into human nature. It is not unlike the classic "Bell Graph".

5% of the population are exceptional.
5% of the population are expendable.
90% are shades of in between.

There is a 90% chance that your man is just "in between" and will come good in the end. They are good odds. Keep the faith.

He/She/Non-binary are on SD = plus.
Trade Member = another plus.
Why this is just stacking up to be a dead cert.
 
Can you see if a PM has been ready by the recipient?
In this case, can the purchaser or the item see if the trader has read the PM and deliberately not answered it?

If not, can an admin see if the PM has been read?
 
just a curious observation, if I dont log off and go to bed, would others see me as being online? even though I am not.
 
After a fortnight I'm afraid I'd release the hounds.
Call them off if you have to, and apologise to someone who has failed you afterwards if all comes good.
 
Nothing wrong with Royal Mail I bought an item from someone on here he posted Saturday it arrived Monday

Just sent a pm, i'm having the same issue. I'm intrigued to see if its the same trade member.
 
I’ve had an absolutely shocker with Royal Mail recently and now only send tracked delivery, but the lack of responses is the real problem here, I would also be pretty frustrated, good luck with a resolution.

Thats the one. Looks like this has happened to numerous people and it shows that this particular user was online a couple of days ago so clearly blanking messages.
