Ivythorn sporting open day 29th june

Really pleased to hear it. Sadly I could not make it as have been 'immobilised' for the last few weeks and cannot walk, hence boring the ,rse out of every thread on SD.

Well what a thoroughly enjoyable morning down at Ivythorn Sporting. Very well planned and hosted open day, excellent and I mean excellent facilities and a gun room to die for! Steve and the lads were the perfect hosts. I know where I'm going for my next rifle.

It was my first time down at Ivythorn, but what a fantastic introduction to the place: gorgeous weather, a lovely setting, a warm welcome, knowledgeable staff, a gun room full of treats (including plenty for Left-hookers), the chance to shoot some rifles, including a Blaser R8, Mauser M03 and the new Sauer S101, that I've not shot before from the comfort of a superb indoor firing point, and wild-boar-and-apple burgers too! Thanks to everyone there for making it such an enjoyable visit!
