I bought a Steyer Mannlicher Jagdmatch SL in .222 a few years ago now, a great gun I love it. What I was wondering is, does the Jagdmatch barrel differ from other barrels and if so how? I've googled it but come up with nothing.
I had one of these a while ago and as far as I could tell it was standard hammer forged Steyr barrel. Sadly, mine had been neglected by a previous owner and was pitted badly (.308) I traded it in for something less complicated to re-barrel.
I think the only difference is that jagdmatch barrels tend to be heavy barrels. Sauer do there 202 jagdmatch with a heavy or light barrel. I think the light barrel one looks a bit odd.
