Following on from an advert earlier in the year I am now on the 3rd batch of JBD Case Prep Stations.
Price fully assembled, tested and posted (Royal Mail Tracked 24) is £165 per unit.
I want to gauge further interest from members who would be interested in purchasing a unit so I can bulk order the components so that I can keep the pricing stable.
So with that in mind please send me a direct message expressing your interest - I can create a queue from the new interest (some members will already have a DM). From there I can then place orders for components and give you an estimate on lead time based on where you are within the queue.
It is constructed with six rotating units, all at a constant 440 rpm . All rotating units come threaded with 8-32 threads, which are the American standard for the tool heads you would commonly purchase.
The station comes with all of the necessary tool heads needed at each operation, including an internal and external deburring tool, primer-pocket cleaner and primer pocket reamers (suitable for SRP and LRP. NOTE: NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL OR LARGE PISTOL PRIMER POCKETS). The station is powered by 110-230 VAC power output and comes with a ~1.5m UK power cord.
Instructions for use for any new to reloading:
Inside Deburr VLD Tool
This tool head eliminates damage caused by sharp edges/ burrs on the case neck. It cuts a gentle 22 degree chamfer on the case mouth allowing bullets to be easily guided into the rifle brass. This tool only requires a few seconds to properly function. Do not overcut brass as this will lead to thin weak necks. Works on cartridges from 17cal. -45cal.
Outside Deburr Tool
This tool head removes excess brass burrs from trimmed cases. The tool easily deburrs the external face of the case mouth to leave a smooth even finish. This tool only requires a few seconds to properly function. Do not over cut brass as this will lead to thin weak necks. Works on cartridges from 17cal. - 45cal.
Primer Pocket Cleaner (Small & Large)
Quickly removes fouling out of primer pocket bottoms. Lightly press case over tool (approx. 2-3 seconds)until fouling is removed.
Primer Pocket Reamer (Small & Large)
Removes military crimps and rough metal edges from primer pockets. The tool head requires only approx. 2-3 seconds to work properly. Be sure to hold case square with the reamer. Holding unit at an angle in the primer pocket could enlarge the pocket and cause gas leakage.
After using the tool heads in the different revolving stations, they may become quite tight. You may need to hold onto another tool head in a different station to allow you to lock the gear train so that you can remove it by unscrewing.
--------------------
Care & Maintenance
The station's main components are manufactured using tough and durable 3D printing filament and is intended to be service free. Do not use any harsh cleaning products or solvents on the station. The build up of brass shavings will occur around the tools and should be brushed or hoovered off.
