I lived near him during the 1980s and remember him well.

Very sad news - he was an artist right out of the top drawer.

He painted this for BASC some years ago, each of the limited edition prints having a small remarque by the artist:

Indeed, I have one or 2 of his hanging on my wall. RIP

His skill in capturing light and particularly with water scenes such as wildfowl subjects was superb.
I am lucky enough to have one such example.

Yep a real shame, I’ve got a signed print of that picture above hanging on the wall from many years back, being a wildfowler it draws you in, superb artist
