Kerry Blue for tracking

Has anyone experience of using traditional Irish dogs successfully in the field?

I am trying to reinvigorate the Kerry Blue as a true working dog for stalking and rough shooting. There will be no issues of it being unable to work alongside other dogs so this facet of the breed temperament is not an issue in this post.

My Irish is coming along fantastically well,very strong willed which I will get the better of over the next few months.
She tracks wonderfully, fantastic nose will air scent and blood trail, wasn't happy with her air scenting and have steered her away from that.
Good with other dogs which is a first for me.
I'm sure that the Kerry will be equal to the task, and a dog with a bit of spirit.
