I've got a kerry super 8 pillar drill that I no longer use.
I havnt the room for it in my unit any longer.
I got it from the engineering company that was next door to me when they down sized.
The one corner on the base is snapped off but this was broken when they had it and it was not an issue to them so I doubt it will be an issue to anyone else.
It's a floor standing machine and about 6ft high.
3 phase but can easily be turned into single phase.
Morse taper chuck.
These are proper English engineering quality machines.
£200 based in stafford.
collection only I do have the use of a forklift to load as its VERY heavy
I havnt used it since I moved out of my unit as I now only have single phase.20250810_135621.webp20250810_135634.webp20250810_135648.webp

I have one of these and they are far superior to the modern chinese rubbish offered under different brands.

The back gear, although noisy once engaged, gives you far more torque for bigger drills; look at the nameplate for the speeds and the above is the reason for the lower options. The faster range is just belt pulley selection.
The spindle stroke i.e. depth you can drill in one setting, is far greater than the modern stuff.

A good price and easy to convert to single phase as I did mine.

Lovely old drill press, it will make a fine addition to someone’s workshop👍 I’m in the process of renovating an old Walker Turner 900 series drill press at the moment, just managed to get e new set of quill bearings imported from the States as the originals were just about done for. It’s all cleaned up and in pieces at the moment and about to have a new paint job and electrics sorted. Sadly though, the original owner has left witness marks all across the table so that's probably going to get filled somehow but haven’t decided which way to do it yet!

I've got 2 a bench mounted kerry and the floor standing one and a alpine mill / drill.
So one has to go as I dont have the need for 3 drills.
And yes100% these are quality bits of kit super quite running ,heavy chrome on the shaft.
British engineering at its best
