Just wondering whether A Kestrel 4500 with Horus or Applied ballistics is the easiest to use and set up. Has anyone any experience.
Thanks

I use ballistic FTE however I use turret labels these days for elevation and windage and find it much quicker, i.e. range 450 metres simply dial 450 on the turret, wind at 5m/s at 100 metre increments on the windage, these work well at relatively short distances however at extended ranges I use the app and carefully input the data.

I use a much lower spec Kestrel and an Applied Ballistics App on my Android phone. I find the Applied Ballistics App support very good.

While there are attractions to a single piece of kit there are also downsides. David Bonwick has done a review of the Kestrel.

I have the AB kestrel, easy enough to set up, and works a treat, got me on to a 540 yd rabbit last night with the 222
