So, so lucky ..
Drove up the road to where I exercise the dogs and this Kestrel landed on a post and stayed for a photo session.


 
Stunning, well done.

Last year we had a pair successfully nest on top of an old tree 30 yards from the bedroom window. Could never get high enough to see into the nest for photos but it was great watching them grow up. Mind you, they are noisy little buggers in the morning.
 
Best wild Kestrel pic I've seen for years. Very pretty female bird there. Kes wasmy favourite film by far as a kid. " is it tame? Ek is it tame!
