The 1st of my rifles for sale
£1100 as a package advertised elsewhere - £1000 to the SD crew
This is my hill cull rifle...
Mauser M96 Lightning Hunter which is the European (flush mag) Straightpull £600 and Picatinny rail, not sure what MOA it is
Burris Eliminator which I think is the MKII as it ranges through the magnification £700
A-Tec Moderator £100
Sparton Javelin Bi-Pod - I shoot from my hill sack this is fitted just to stand it up £100
£1500 if I'm tempted to sell separately
Right then I think I'm the third owner
The first time I knew of this rifle was when I saw it being shot by its owner on a private range who couldn't shoot it, even under instruction
Second time when I saw it advertised for sale I confirmed with the first owner its serial number, who confirmed he sold it because he couldn't shoot it and it frightened him
The second owner brought it to me and I bought it knowing of the first owner's dilemmas, the second owner not sharing any experiences but I suspected they had similar results
I've always shot 270's but this was my first German plastic pig - yep as expected, you need to be able to control its battery recoil via the ole artillery hold as it's a light rifle, you follow through and trigger control needs to be 'spot on' if not you will have an open grouping, shoot as you should shoot and it will return by doing its job - so be warned
So if you can shoot and want to shoot out to long distances while carrying it over long distances this is it as I have proven by using it
Oh the only thing I changed was the moderator from the first and second owner as the over-barrelled one it came with didn't aid the follow through it threw it down to 5 o'clock.
I also haven't used this since COPPER became the new thing so this needs to be considered by the new owner - I know the right people but probably you do as well
