I had made up a knife sharpening holder by reusing some neodyne magnets from old computer hard discs and it works very well.
I wanted to make up another one for a pal and as the old ones magnets were damaged when removing them from the steel plates (nickel plating came loose) they had been glued onto I decided to try using heat to remove them by laying them onto the top of my wood burner stove. Well the removal worked very well except that the magnet now is not magnetic Ha. I learn something new every day.
