Looking to see if anyone has any experience of using the Kuiu Axis Hybrid jacket?

I am looking for a lightweight jacket that can cope with the odd downpour and it would seem to fit the bill.

Been having a change in my set up and decided to give some Kuiu gear a try.
Definitely worth clearing your cookies and making sure you get the 15% first purchase discount.
After reading the views I ordered the size up from normal and it fits perfect.
First impressions are that the Axis Hybrid is a refined bit of kit and is finished to a high standard.
Very comfortable but no rain to test it in yet!!!

Keen to hear a report after 1 year, all the Swazi stuff I have hasn't stood up after a hard season... then again nothing has!

Maybe it's me? :-|

It’s definitely not going to be hard wearing stuff and doesn’t look suited to battering through restocks but if you’re looking for something durable the Stoney Creek Tundra jacket is worth looking at.

Looking at this: BLAST TUSKER | Game Gear NZ

But no dealer here.

Always feel that waterproof jackets make me overheat and make it hard going so keen to try a sleeveless one for better cooling and wear wool underneath.

I took the plunge and switched to Kuiu, the stuff is great, sizing can be a problem, i have the axis set, its shower resistant only, not water proof, a good shower is fine, they have rain gear which is for the persistent rain, i also went for the gale force which is water resistant and warm, im getting the bottoms when they get back in stock.

I have the Guide set and although I love the pattern I wouldn't say it keeps me particularly warm or windproof deffo not waterproof but not advertised as, I'm thinking about buying another waterproof set but the price is a bit steep, I'll wait and see if they have specials coming up
