Lamp filters cleaning

Anyone can help me on how to clean up scratched filters so can get a bit more light through? Thanks all atb joe

Try a mashed up avocado. Believe me it works! Just mash it up skin and all and rub the ensuing gloop over the surface of the filter

Failing that, one of the headlight restoration polishes.

Brasso or Duraglit if I remember right will do the job.
Then when it's nice & see through again use wax furniture polish on it.

Once it is clean, or you've invested in a new one, put a shower cap over the lamp when its not in use to save it from subsequent scratches.

Seeing as how you're from Yorkshire I feel its only fair to point out that you can also use one of those car polishing clothes that go over a buffer like these:

Cheaper than a shower cap for our white rose types

Works out about £1.12 each you can share them with your pals

"Leave" where and why would you need to change to white light to track a missed or injured fox?

Thanks for the reply guys its better now used brasso eaten all the avacardo and used the rest on this stag I swapped for a camera last weekend comes up cleanatb joe
