Waterproof rifle bag

Hi all some advice please. As the weather seems to be rain rain and a bit more rain these days I wonder what everyone one else does with carring a rifle in the rain for a long period of time.

I was thinking of getting a waterproof soft rifle bag. Or are you just spending loads of time on cleaning?

If so can anyone recommend a rifle bag?

Thanks guys 😁

I never use a rifle slip when out stalking and don't spend much time cleaning my rifle either. The main thing is to make sure it's dry before you put it away. I obviously don't leave mud on the metal parts but not bothered about the stock unless it's a wooden stock, then I'll clean any dirt off.

Don't buy the harkila one. The theory is great. In reality the rifle pulls the liner out and then it becomes hell on earth.
I needed one for on a boat in salt water.

If you can get one, the Akah loden rifle cover is brilliant. Not completely waterproof, but it does the job. I had to get mine from Germany though.

Northern Diver produce them. www.ndiver.com Not expensive - they have a sale on right now.
Used by military divers for their carbines, light weight automatics etc. Totally waterproof. Use wax on the zip from time to time to keep it sliding easily.
Getting one long enough will be the main thing to check.

Have a look at these.
Had One for a while and it does the job
Quick and easy to put on and off.
