You should get them cooking through that. They seem a decent bullet, I'm sure mate of mine used them in factory ammo?I have 2 boxes in the loading room I am going to try them in my 264 win mag.
Will do, thanks.Try the Hornady Precision Hunter stuff, seems to shoot well in many a Creedmoor.
When I had a 6.5x55 I found the sellier&bellot eXergy Blue 120grn worked very well on sika not the most expensive out and grouped very well in my rifle.Any recommendations on a factory round for the creedmoor for Deer sized quarry, at no more than 300m.
Reloading is not an option for me.
If 300m is your max, then almost any factory ammo will work.Any recommendations on a factory round for the creedmoor for Deer sized quarry, at no more than 300m.

Thanks a mill mungo, great scope for thought there., my 6.5 is a T3X CTR stainless with a 24" pipe...If 300m is your max, then almost any factory ammo will work.
Hornady Precision Hunter 143gr is usually extremely accurate, if a little pricy. Carcass damage can be a bit much at close range on smaller deer.
All the offerings from Federal are good to very good. Fusion 140gr is a harder bonded bullet, and has less carcass damage. At longer range (250m plus) the expansion can be a bit limited, so you can get runners with smaller deer. Federal Vital Shok 140gr is a classic soft point, and really good at short to intermediate range. Drifts a bit in the wind out past 250m, but would be my choice for a cheap general use bullet.
If you want non-lead, Fox 123gr are really good, and kill well out to 250m plus. Nice clean carcasses. Wind drift can be a bit of an issue past 250m, though not excessively so.
Those are the ones I have direct experience of.
I would avoid going much heavier than 143gr, especially if you have a 20” barrel - the muzzle velocity will be very low indeed.
Then anything will work. Thanks a mill mungo, great scope for thought there., my 6.5 is a T3X CTR stainless with a 24" pipe...![]()
