You should check out Cactus gear made in New Zealand. The super trousers are 100% canvas. Waterproof, thorn proof etc. Had mine for 5 years, wear them hunting and to work and they are still going strong. They get better with age.

Laksen are a good brand. I bought mine in Denmark some years ago. Great for ploughing through brambles and gorse when beating.
