Leaving - days to go

I can see you worked very hard for your money. You don't have to leave alot to relatives. You could take the view that you worked hard so you can slow down a bit and spend some on yourself and enjoy life while you can. Because if you don't if you are unlucky and need care the will quit happily take it from you. I'm not saying go spend it all but their is nothing wrong with trying to leave the world with not so many assets.

I have certainly had worse advice mate. 👍

Heym SR20,
It’s easy to understand why you would like to remain from your writing in this post, as would lots of others that have a vested interest in the EU.
The EU sounds good, but in practise it’s failing and falling by its own hand.
The majority voted for the good of the whole UK, not like the selfish ones who were only concerned about their own ambitions.
I don’t mind if things get harder for a while, and if they do, hopefully it will be relatively short term.
Whatever, I doubt things will be as bad as we were told were a certainty if we left.
Wat kind of club wants to punish its members when they no longer want to subscribe?
Cheers,Ken.
More to the point what kind of club would reward an ex member for leaving to the detriment of the members that choose to stay and support it?

There are lads on here that seem to have a persecution complex and want others to feel the same, the UK wasn't kicked out of the EU, the UK has chosen to leave and the EU are bending over backwards to try and negotiate a deal in good faith that will make that transition work as fairly as possible for everyone.

Definition of discussion, two or more Adult parties having discourse over one or more subjects or issues, ... definition of brexit “talks”, complete waste of breath as one side is blind to the fact we have managed to extricate ourselves from the clusterf”*k club.

You do realise that everyone accepts that the UK is leaving the EU and your great leader Boris is not being forced to engage in talks yeah?

im having sleepless nights worrying about mango,s, and will they be in short supply, fec me we live on a island and are surrounded by fish but the average joe public cant afford to buy them? bs

Why we should leave is because people like these men and many others did what they had to do which had to be done.

None of the other EU members give a fu ck what was done back then, they just want what they can have know.

If you cant see that then shame on you,

What is the point of this post can I ask in all seriousness?

"Why we should leave", do you actually know what's going on and what has been decided over 4 years ago?

And who's the fella with all the medals? What's he got to do with the EU and Brexit?

That man went over in D Day and help free Europe so he has a lot to do with it...... That Fella has those medals so we sit free from the ravages of war.........unless that bit was not in your history lessons :old:

Hands up...who voted for the right to catch fish we don’t eat so will have to sell it to the countries on the continent no doubt with a tariff added so more expensive than continental caught and buy fish off them also with tariff making more expensive. all this for an industry worth less than Harrods a single shop.
If only British agriculture, steel, power and manufacturing had this sort of lobbying power.

As for the biblically dim view that the wars somehow justify leaving...to me the image of former foes joining forces together is something really quite powerful and aspirational.

And to be frank if we didn’t deal with anyone we had fought I’m not sure England would have many trade partners

Yes it’s not worth that much in the grand scale to us, at the minute but that probably has a lot to do with the common fisheries policy and decisions made in the past, but it is clearly worth a lot the the EU block or they wouldn’t be bothered would they.

Gotta wonder how the EU fishing fleet are all going to manage to operate in the Irish part of the EU's shared sea, I hear there's not a right lot left to catch in the Med; fish sells at about a third of the cost here than is the case in many parts of the EU, according to a German guest. According to him and others, we are very lucky to have the cooler and more productive waters and fishing grounds.

So we sit free from the ravages of war?? Holy God in heaven.

That most certainly wasn't in any history I learned, were you taught that by someone?
