Leaving - days to go

.............the UK has chosen to leave and the EU are bending over backwards to try and negotiate a deal in good faith that will make that transition work as fairly as possible for everyone.

Like any forum, there are sensible posts, humorous posts, controversial posts, etc. But when it come to pure ridiculous....No, actually really funny, the above, absolutely, takes first prize. I don’t think I have EVER read such rubbish on any forum.

It proves there is life on other planets, just let us know what planet you are from, I just gotta go there.

That man went over in D Day and help free Europe so he has a lot to do with it...... That Fella has those medals so we sit free from the ravages of war.........unless that bit was not in your history lessons :old:
It wouldn't be Tim, he's from Eire remember.

You all know we re not at war anymore right?

How do you reconcile no trade deal with Germany (assuming this is why the war keeps coming up) but Liz Truss’ deal to sell Stilton to Japan?

Also we going to be doing a deal with Russia as we were allies back in the good ol’ days?

I tell you what you couldn't make this up could you? Blaming the EU for not offering a trade deal, lots of folks on here saying out means out. Well hey, why would the EU offer us a deal, I think their answer should be, You wanted out, Fek off then, You used to have a deal with the largest trading group in the world, but you didn't want it, but now you do, but thats alright because you got your sovereignty, and a no deal, & America doesn't want to deal with you either, it would rather deal with the EU. And now we can deal with the rest of the world, but heh, we were already doing that, And we can regulate our borders, & keep out some unfortunate refugee in an inflatable dinghy, but don't mention the Chinese & Russians who seem to have bought up most of London, and we get a nice blue passport, & give knighthoods & passports to those lovely Russian Ogliagarchs who financed the Tory & brexit party. Then keep the Tax loopholes open for the Money laundering operations Run by the Financial Services Commission, who sit next to the Speaker in the House of Commons, (unelected) for the media Tycoons & Tory MP's who promoted Brexit lies as they could see the Loopholes being closed by the EU, but thats alright because we are masters of our own destiny now, & we have Prime Minister who looks like a sack of Potatoes but doesn't make as much sense.
Disclaimer this is just my opinion, I'm sure we will Rule the Waves, & Wave the Rules, just ask Dominic.

I note with some interest that whilst property prices sur le continent are falling maybe because we arent propping up the euro with other net contributers (few), our domestic house prices are going through the roof.
I'd rather win independence from Europe and miss out on certain things. I can stand life without a BMW in favour of a Toyota any day of the week. In case others hadnt noticed we now have no car industry.
I am not concerned with riots in France anymore - let them try it on the fishing grounds - they are going to lose.
Let’s hope some former MPs don’t get their way and don’t allow the navy to be used to defend our fishing grounds. One of them said it would be shameful if it was used to defend ourselves.Surely not standing up for ourselves is what has got us to this point.

im having sleepless nights worrying about mango,s, and will they be in short supply, fec me we live on a island and are surrounded by fish but the average joe public cant afford to buy them? bs
Feckin fish. Cod in Tesco's yesterday = £15.00 per kilo.
It wasn't purchased or bred by a farmer and fed/housed for 18 months with all the associated costs.
It was just scooped from the sea.
So why is it dearer than beef?
A fish supper used to be a relatively cheap meal, not so now though.
