I am thinking of putting an led light on my honda quad. Big spread in wattage options and therefore the amps they draw.

What are people using and how are they wired up?

By my maths a 216w light would pull 16amp, which seems alot for a didfy battery and stator so leaning to a 90w unit.

I've got an Osram FX500-CB on my car and I've just looked it up - it's 68W and it's pretty bright! For an ATV it would be more than enough.

I would wire it up with a relay, with the switching circuit tee'd into high beam wire and main power back to battery with an inline fuse or similar.

I use a small 2 LED unit under the front box on mine, powered when needed by plugging into the Honda Aux cigarette-type socket below the bars. Works well enough for my needs :thumb:

Lamp is just visible through the notch in the front of the basket and the rubber cover is off the socket.
