Pristine, and as new. Less than 40rds fired, other than factory proofing. Produced in Fazakerley in August 1949, blond wood and stored since being released to the public.
Bought from an Enfield enthusiast a couple of years ago, but I feel its too good for me to use regularly. Given my ability over iron sights now I prefer to use a scope, and I'm not putting one on this rifle (not even a no gunsmith option). So it's time to go and I'm on the look out for a sporterised enfield with a scope/scope base already on. Plenty around it seems for little money. Ive seen these at gunshows at Bisley, and in other dealers for up to £1500. Im looking to get what I paid for it £1000. Not for stalking these days, but I know enough of you will appreciate a military rifle made here in the UK.
If you want another images pm me. Brass butt plate with cleaning kit still in situ.
Thanks for looking.
