Leica CRF Rangefinder

Hello All.
I have a Leica CRF 2800.com range finder and noticed something that might be peculiar so was wondering if someone who has a similar model could check to see if its a fault.

Ranging a very dark target at first/last light I noticed the areas where the digits display show up as squares with a very faint red hue. They’re not visible when using in daylight.

Anyone else noticed this? A fault that needs Leica’s attention?

Cheers

Yes figured it was the display or a reflection of it but they’re very faintly visible without pressing the ranging button. Just a bit distracting.

I've tried the playing with the brightness setting and diopter adjustment. It's not those. Here's a visual of what is seen when just looking through without the engaging the ranging button.

There's a very faint hue of the red squares where the range information is displayed. Not noticeable in daylight but in overcast or low light conditions when looking at a very dark object.
