Leica Magnus 2.4-16x56 BDC vs newer “i” version

I’m looking for a scope for my new Blaser R8 HunTec Camo. At first, I was considering the Swarovski Z8i, but I’m now looking for a more affordable alternative. I’ve been offered a Leica Magnus 2.4-16x56 with BDC. Does anyone here have experience with this scope? Also, what is the difference compared to the newer “i” version?

No, the first version has an illuminated dot as well.

In addition to my post: I’ve already tested the Blaser B2, but I found the illuminated dot to be slightly fuzzy, which wasn’t ideal for me.

I’m also considering other alternatives in the same range, particularly compared to the Swarovski Z8i and the Leica Magnus. Any first-hand experiences or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have Leica, Xeiss and Kahles on my rifles and no one swaro so can't give a fair opinion. Just be aware that leica turrets needs one exact ring to match your's loads so you will have to buy a boxe with 12 different rings and choose the one that fits yours speed and bc.. Or just stick with the one that came with all rifles and count the clicks..anyway I like leicas and being the 8nternal gears pure stainless you have no risc
ks of loosing zero or have the scope not accepting the clicks

Not as a gift you don’t. Ironically I am in Denmark at the moment heading back to the UK via the Netherlands later this coming week. Scopes in the UK though.
