Life in the bush.

An interesting side story off your link as well regarding the death of a man who raised the kangaroo that killed him.
Certainly puts our (UK) concerns over sheep being unpredictable into perspective!

Been battered on the floor by a large ram managed to keep head out of way but no doubt it could have killed me with ease and nearly did. Unlucky for him as I don’t bare grudges, I harbour them.😂

The "old boys" would take a dog that was too savage on sheep ( a working sheepdog) and tie it up in the catching pen on a lead long enough to just get out of the way. With a ram in there too and after Rammy has finished his work the dog would generally pay much more respect to the flock.

Heard similar versions over here jg, but my little experience taught me how agile they are as my matador tactic failed and took my legs out, after breaking one of the metal handles of a pair of hedge sheers over its head side swing to poleaxe it, zero effect though could have been metal fatigue.
It it had caught my head suspect very not good, anyways it learnt to avoid me and my electric prod which I obtained in his honour.

I havent had any problems with rams but am well aware that they will roost you up the arse especially when not looking at them.

That’s what it did but continued to batter away and all I could do was keep noodle out of way until it got bored and it let me Hobble five yards or so to a stock fence, thing was it knew me as in field next to house, left shoulder never been same since and went to be knacked as past hump by date this summer.
Only consolation was his ass was mine for a year or two🖕😂😂

And of course the same happens weekly but with cattle doing the same but with more power, ouch ouch ouch.

Any horse or cow including bulls that comes up to me with its head up gets me rushing up to it and a boot in its face or fist on its nose!
Bastard things.
I whipped an aggressive horse once. It use to come bowling across the field every time but after the whipping when it recognised me it would run to the other side of the field. Bastard thing.

Ha ha after you have seen two bulls belt heads together mate that fist wont do much...but it would be really entertaining to watch Smelly. Need Adidas spikes on for the getaway.
The punch isn't the deal. It's the surprise of going at them that spooks them. I'm still here John! A good length of water piping works well too. Straight across the snout!

Have a friend who is a big person and incredibly strong and agile and trained hard in his youth and a very unique character who has led a very interesting life. Anyways we spend a lot of time foxing of an eve but have to cross certain fields and open gates where bullocks can mob you at night and always offers to demonstrate the knock down blow on one which he mastered.😱
