Wanted: Lockable Hard Gun Case for flying

After a Lockable Hard Gun Case to take on BA with me.

(Needs to fit a double barrel shotgun)

Have you checked with BA about carrying firearms ?
We've just had our flights cancelled and money back as they would not carry our guns to Croatia in November.
Now flying from Gatwick via Istanbul, twice the price and 7 hours instead of 2hrs 10 minutes.

I assume the shotgun breaks in two?
Peli 1700 is a good size for that. You’d fit two broken shotguns in it

What determines whether a case is suitable for airline use?
Obviously if you're buying new it'll probably say on the seller's website, but if 2nd hand what criteria are you looking for?

I have a peli and a no named one that locks, if you can get yourself to Brighton you can borrow one FOC.

I still have the original shotgun case with combi lock for sale, rust on hinges but serviceable hence the price of £25 f2F or plus postage.

Appreciate the kind offer I would have taken you up on it !!! However I’m in London, iv been offered a case by another member cheaper than my fuel to you. This forum is much more helpful than any other forum I’ve been on
