yes mate i use a plastic variant and they work well ,but practice is the key to the sounds as they are hard at first, easy to make takes a few mins atb wayne ps there is a vid on youtube just put in tenterfield and watch the chap its easy after that

:rofl: it does take abit of practice but all of a sudden it clicks into place the only advice i can give is try not to blow to hard at first it will come in time,

Concur with the last post, a mate has a tenterfield one and its hard to use, the original best fox call is so easy, hands free and pretty loud.
 
i got one after losing my plastic one works okay but found the old one much easier to get different sounds / tones for near far etc
 
Hi yes I have used it many times, I think it is one of the best calls that I ever used but is one of the most dificult to master. I drove my mrs mad with it walking around the house practicing, and also had it in the pickup where ever I went. So keep at it, it is well worth the effort.
