Wanted: Looking for a slim moderator for a 308

I have an A-TEC HERTZ on my 30-06. It has a 50 mm diamater, and is only 200 mm long, of which 60 mm comes back over the barrel. Nice and light as well. It was not cheap but not exorbitant. I tried every moderator in the shop by fitting and firing them out the back of the shop, and this one was the quietest. Have a Zeiss 5 to 15 by 42 on medium Optilock mounts, and I have never noticed it in the field of view.

They probably don’t have anything in stock I’ve been waiting for a muzzle brake for my ratchet lock model for months.

Expect to pay in the region of £650 for the alpine model.

You are quite right that stock is limited (appears a SD colleague has just acquired the last one in this country :thumb:) but more stock is due early in the New Year. You are also right in respect to cost ;) However, for a Titanium, slim over the barrel moderator, with impressive military use credentials backing it up and it coming in at only 170 grams, I'm very interested. I'm about to put in another variation and I'll see how my colleague fares with his but this looks exceptionally promising......

I haven’t had any experience of the Alpine but certainly my ratchet lock model in inconnel is the quietest mod I have owned. It is to my ear better than an Ase Utra Jet-Z and I always get people commenting on how quiet it is.
