thanks for the reply.160 have read this and yet nobody has yet explained ! ? You need to get onto various professional Guides and estates . You must be accompanied and that generally means the guide carries the rifle until your in position on a beast . Widen your area up .
April is when the Bucks are in season and its late for killing does and few Guides would take a novice out at this time
Don’t limit yourself to roe is my suggestion - not sure what you get around Lanarkshire but it’s peak fallow time right now and munties are all year.thanks for the reply.
I've read the info on stalking, watched videos etc but was looking to see if anyone in my surrounding area offered stalking, paid of course.
Myself ? I tend to like the trips away from home ground, its really big part of the whole thing . The shooting of a deer in the local area especially if it came easy I would feel I cheated myself somewhat! I have shot very low numbers of local deer all considered ( though there are plenty) I tend to find reasons not to shoot them and if you pay for the stalking " you most likely will" after .thanks for the reply.

Some good advice, however the guy posting is in Scotland Bucks do not have a close season, that is not to justify shooting Bucks now. Each manager will have a policy dictated by need. However legally no issues in shooting male Deer year round. No male deer in Scotland have a close season. Drop @ColinBr a message he is out on a paid stalk today. He is over your way, he may be able to160 have read this and yet nobody has yet explained ! ? You need to get onto various professional Guides and estates .
