Book a stalk with an outfitter, get a receipt for the booking and submit your variation request with a copy of the receipt. Job done [emoji1303]

I think it's simpler than that. 243 is a well recognised foxing calibre. Just do a 1:1 - it really shouldn't raise any eyebrows. If they do ask, say you want one rifle for everything, want something to beat the wind better.

My fao did say once that if some one has had a 22.250 he would grant a 243 but will he go by his word ?..

if you plan to use your rifle in Scotland for anything bigger than roe then you need to go bigger than .243. A .245 wont fire a suitable non lead round - think ahead.

I would keep the 22 250 for foxing and get yourself a 7mm08 The 243's bigger brother !!

pimmy dont think about a variation until the corona virus has been sorted, may be july 2021 and the firearms department MAY look at doing the paper work then!

Or 6.5 creedmoor, .260 Remington, .308, ..338 federal etc. etc......
