Hi, I have never used waterproof goretex in a hot weather boot before. I normally go for all leather like a Courteney or Rogue boot. Does it not trap heat and moisture in? Thanks!

These are outstanding boots - I ordered my second pair off Rob at Monarch.

Super comfy, waterproof, but not too heavy and not too hot. They are brilliant. Get yours ordered - and buy them from Monarch 👍🏻

My review is based upon having worn them for a number of years now - even with the goretex lining, my feet have never felt clammy, soggy or overheated in the summer wearing them - I often wear then pigeoning, I've worn them for blazing hot days on the grouse moor, I wore them for stalking roe last weekend. I can't praise them highly enough.

Just back from a day's walking beaches & tracks in Anglesey and worn Renegade's all day with no discomfort.

As @merlin states they are lightweight and very comfortable.

I had been wearing Tibet's for hot weather stalking, but tend to prefer the Renegade's for those very hot days. It's fair to say that the Renegade's don't give the same level of ankle support as Tibet's or the higher ankle Hunter's, however this the trade off being light & cool.

I can't comment on these boots specifically but I wear Meindl Nebraska's or Meindl Burma's all summer and my feet don't overheat or sweat.

They are great boots and they do not trap moisture. I've had a pair for the last eight years and they've almost exclusively been used in Africa (11 trips) and in that time it has been hot, very hot.....and they have performed flawlessly.

Now I buy 90% of my kit from Rob, not a fault with anything and no hassle if it doesn't fit. Used to buy a pair of meindl each year but now Lowas from Monarch
