Lucky Thirteen magazine conversion

I'm thinking about a magazine conversion for my Howa 1500 223 and quite fancy the Lucky 13 bottom metal and magazine kit for £159. Seems very well made from billet aluminium and polymer and has fairly good reviews online but not much from anyone who has been using o e for a while. Do the feed well after prolonged use? Does the two part magazine hold together well etc?

Any reviews would be appreciated.

I’ve used one on the Howa. Was perfectly useable. They are very popular indeed in Australia, where the Howa is a big seller. I tried to buy one but couldn’t get one out of Aus, because the owner was in the middle of setting up an import and supply agreement with NZ retailers. I ended up with the KRG and steel magazines instead.

@dodgyknees thay sounds a bit similar to here. I enquired about getting one a few years ago but they wouldn't ship direct to me as there was a UK distributed (Raytrade). I emailed the distributer who didn't know anything about the product even though they listed the company on their website!

I heard that Lucky 13 are winding down the family business due to illness/bereavement so wo t be making any more but found some for sale in the UK. I think come payday I'll give one a go and see what they're like. My Howa is currently in a GRS Berserk so as much as I'd like another Bravo chassis it's just a bit too much to spend right now.

I attempted to obtain a Lucky 13 magazine for 300BLK a couple of years ago and had some correspondence with the company. Gave up in the end as they were obviously not interested in supplying outside Oz.

Acquired this today as a job lot. It's for a T3 I'm reliably informed.

Would an Atlasworx AICS conversion not work? With 10 shot MDT mag for 223. At least future proof.
