Magpie with synthetic caught in foot.

I ambushed one yesterday stealing duck eggs. Very clever birds do they learn where not to go if you teach them. After I shot a few, they quickly learned what my car looks like so when I turn up at that location they are no where to be seen. I don’t shoot anything without a good reason.
 
We shoot them here, as an import, I get annoyed when people tell me they are shooting the swallows because they crap on the cars.( another import.
 
The Aus magpies are benign,they dont steal eggs,they dont predate and if you have a family of them in/around your home they recognise you as such. They will swoop and peck with speed if you are an 'interloper' during nesting season and thats about it. They certainly do not swoop on the humans in their immediate world.
