MDT XRS Chassis

Has anyone got any experience of these chassis, previously tried an Oryx and didn't get on with it at all?

I have just put one on my 204 and so far I'm really enjoying it, I had an Oryx previously and liked that bit it didn't sit well in my quad mounts so it had to go

What didn't you like about the Oryx

I got a T3x variant thinking the T1x would slot straight in....it didn't but that's no fault of the chassis.

The chassis itself felt good in the hand and I'd happily use one.

Have one and will probably get another at some point, very well thought out chassis for a decent price, I ordered mine from Canada and if I remember it was just over £500 including customs/tax. I far prefer the vertical grip on the XRS over the AR style that is offered on the other mdt chassis but I have fairly large hands so that might be why. It's not particularly light so if weight is your key concern then might be better with something else but is certainly not that heavy that you can't walk about with it. All In all I'm a fan and mdt are a good company to deal with that back their products 👍

You can get the T1X to fit the standard T3 Oryx with very minor modifications.

Ah ok I thought it was comfort or something else, I'm very pleased with the xrs I use it with the slanted grip and shoot thumb up and find.it very comfortable, mines a spotter barrel 204 and I've added a 1lb weight in the forend to balance it

I've 2lb of lead that I had in forend of oryx here, found the Oryx uncomfortable, didn't really like the angle of the grip

You may like the xrs then as you can use either the slanted or vertical grip but I find I don't grip it like I did the Oryx

I like my scope low also, i couldn't get my face far enough into oryx stock, sticking a wraith on the rifle niw so that will be less of a problem

The xrs does have a slightly lower comb than the Oryx bit still has enough adjustment for nv, I had a wealth when I had the Oryx and now have a wulf 4k with the xrs

Your unlikely to get anything direct from MDT now

They won’t deal with anyone but uk importers
