Do we really need to let loose the SD lynch mob over what really is a storm in a tea cup. This is just some over zealous anti hunt person who has spotted a high profile hunter with a trophy and started all the usual ballyhoo. She is a professional doing her job and getting plenty of publicity along the way, and whilst doing so injecting a fair chunk of most welcome finance into the local economy, and more importantly the conservation of all species in that land.
Ignore it, get over it and move on.

Well I'm afraid I can't agree woth you there as far as I'm aware he was asking what opinions were not what is in someone's Heart or isn't ????? I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one

I will stand up for anyones right to shoot anything providing it is done:
- Ethically.
- The species is not endangered.
- It does not harm the sport of hunting or bring hunters in to disrepute.
- It is fair chase
As far as I am aware she ticked 3 out of 4 of my standards. I personally would not have had a problem with her going off and doing it as many other hunters do if she had not rubbed everyone nose in it.
She is a "Pro Hunter" to coin an American phrase, that means she is paid by companies to endorse their products and the like. It is these idiots that do more damage than good to our sport. Rather than posting a story to go with this like it was a old male (which is is clearly not looking at the photo) and by hunting it I generated income to an impoverished part of the world blah blah blah, she just posted the photo.
Now to anyone sitting no the fence a photo like that is going to send them only one way and that is firmly into the Anti camp.
These American Pros are only out for themselves and the same can be said about the team wild jokers we have in this country. If every one of these so called Pro's approached it more along the lines of Mike Robinson the hunting community would be viewed in a much better light.

Damm right,if you don't like it don't do it.plenty of people shoot trophies park animals over here so whats the difference.

Canned hunting does neither conservation nor the reputation of hunting any good whatsoever.

An interesting and challenging debate, i think its a shame to shoot such a rare and stunning beast and its not my thing, but hunting is a fact of life (for sport or survival) and me saying it is a shame is pretty hypocritical, especially in the eyes of someone who thinks i am cruel for shooting deer. I totally understand why the wider public don't get it.

I'm just upset that she's not top less is in the photo. That would have made a happy man very old.
Finally, some dirty old man makes sense! And they would only need a tranquilizer dart! No one would know the difference, cause they be focussed on her! Viking genius!
Hunting / shooting is a minority sport globally and one that is very emotive and this kind of publicity is just not helpful. Wildlife does need managing by professional managers and paying hunters is a way to fund other conservation and social projects and this is the positive publicity we should as responsible hunter's be promoting and nothing less.
