These are lovely scopes, up there with the Big 3 IMO.

This one doesn't seem to have been mounted, box and paperwork all present, rubber lens covers there and in good nick.

Excellent condition, great reticle. I bought this to go on my winter rifle but it's just too tidy for the likes of me😂.

£250 posted or collect from near Romsey, Hants.

These are fantastic scopes, I’ve got a 7x50 and wouldn’t replace it for anything,

Yeah they're super scopes, I've got another, older one and it's never missed a beat.

Are they out of fashion? Am I asking too much money?

Never mind that….. I take it you’ve served with the Vulcan Bomber in the background.

Back to the scope, out of fashion…. Maybe ? With the market flooded at the min with folk surrendering their licences at the rate they are my local RFD is litterally in undated every single day he’s open, of course everyone wants top dollar for 2nd hand kit at the min but you only have to look on guntrader and there’s rifles been on there for ages, the ones priced right fly out,
Rewind 15 years or so when I bought mine I went 50mm objective lense to gather the light, we all know this is the way but I bought mine when Illuminated reticle were new to me at least and were a fortune, so I invested in the Artemis 2000,
Nowadays Illuminated rets are being outdated by what can only be described as a computer screen In The scope. So… maybe outdated BUT for that person. With an older rifle, who’s only ever gonna shoot in the day then what a fantastic scope.
The alternative nowadays is Chinese scopes, cheap, all have IR’s and are litterally disposable.

I’m guilty myself of this as I’ve been after a S&B 8X56 or a Zeiss or Leupold to put on a .17HMR.
I walked in to my local gun shop and he’d taken a Hawke .17HMR specific scope in, taken it off the rifle, mine for £50 inc rings,

Back to yours, in all honesty…. NO, not too much money, you can see on the box it’s got the price new, and by rule of thumb…. “I’m from Yorkshire” it’s half what it cost new so it’s a fair price for a quality scope with good glass.
It just doesn’t have a Christmas tree reticle with mil dots, MOA and a currrency converter built in, but for that .22LR like a HW60J that needs that classic look, this is the scope,

Haha sadly I was born the year the Vulcan went out of service, just a plane nerd! Did have a Taxy ride in a Lancaster a couple of years ago though 😍. Picture was a present from Mum, signed by some of the Victor and Vulcan crews from Black Buck 1.

Yeah I think it's the right money too, guess I'll just have to sit on it til the right buyer appears. Not ideal when the vet wants another speedboat though 😂🤦‍♂️

My Brother in Law served in the 1st Gulf on the Bombers, he worked on them for a few years and has similar pics, after their return they converted them to air - air refuellers
Then disbanded them altogether,

He’s since worked in Tornadoes, euro fighter, typhoon and whatever it is they’re using now, he’s still in….

The scope, def a keeper, not so sure about the vet tho !
🚤 🤔
