Midlife crisis tattoo

If you're about to embark on a midlife crisis I would suggest a 6.5 creedmoor, grow a man bun and get the tattoo in an intimate place only you're new mistress would look at !!

Most tattooists wont do big pieces like this for your first time and if they do agree too it run! they care more about the money, than there clients and the potential long lasting effects, Ink holds In different ways between person too person some have allergic reactions, some lose colour quick, some dont heal well and vice versa.

In general though these big black tattoos need refreshed every few years more If you expose the skin too sunlight a lot, they can look lovely but they need proper care behind them, I wouldn't recommend attempting too combine those two personally I think choosing between one or the other in terms of scene Is a better idea the roe deer portrait Is very detailed because Its not obscured in any way and Is the entire focus, where the elk Is less detailed because Its attempting too showcase a scene there would be a lot of detail all in one little spot if you combined both too the same quality in my view?

Ignore all the morbid naysayers, stick an idea in chatgpt, if you like it, find a quality artist and go for it 👌
“Find a quality artist” - the best advice I’ve read so far.

Getting a tattoo is your decision, but getting one that you’re happy to live with for the rest of your life is the most important bit - you have to remember that aside from getting it laser removed, whatever you get will be with you forever.

I see quite a few tats in my day to day life, some show some real skill in their application with shading & fading of colours etc. Most, however, would struggle to get a ‘C’ for GCSE Art to be honest. There are also some absolutely horrendous ones that look like they’ve been done in a back room by a bloke who up until he tackled them had been inking LOVE & HATE on knuckles!

Oh, & photos or it never happened 😉

Hi everyone, I’m having a midlife crises and thinking about getting a tattoo. Along time ago I saw a tattoo of a rifle/scope tattoo with a rabbit in the cross hairs but I can’t remember if it was on this site or pigeon watch and I would really like to find it if anyone can help or has anything similar ?
I say "step away from the ink" I am thus far unadorned with any ink. Get a transfer and be unrepentant. Or repent at leisure with your bunny. It is a polarising topic. Great stick on ones from poundland. hehe

Ignore the nay sayers...... Find a design you like and can live with for the rest of your days, then go a speak to a good tattooist and ask him/her for their opinion. Between you, you'll come up with a design that'll mean a lot to you.
Got a couple and don't regret them at all - nothing on the face or anywhere obvious so was fine for work. Mid life crisis? Nope, just something I wanted - your life, your choice.

I just don’t particularly like them. Most of them look **** too.

Plus these days it’s mostly folk with mental health issues that get them. It’s also done now as some kind of fake show of importance or “look at me” gig. Footballers are the classic “check out my sleeve”, which 95% just look ridiculous. Then it’s “celebrities” and of course gay barbers (no offence!).

Gone are the days when it was pretty much merchant seamen and rough-arsed bikers that got them.

Apart from that, each too their own and crack if you really want one….you might consider which of the above groups you fall into before proceeding…😉😀

From any sort of distance petty much all tattoos, especially ones with a bit of age on them just look like an indecipherable smudge of dirt on the leg or arm. Even more so with sleeves.

Potentially (only) they might look good when you are young, even at midlife crisis ages. But beyond that, it just looks like a blurry faded blob and a reminder of some stupid decision you made when drunk in Bangkok when you were younger.

I get that you could get something that means something to you. But don't hold out hope it'll enhance your street cred or attraction to the opposite sex very much.

I don’t like tattoos. They rarely age well. If you do go for one, spend a lot of time researching the tattooist. Very much like buying a scope. Buy once, cry once.
As has been said, lots of crap tattooists, quite a number of my friends have been inked, you do need to find a good one and pay the money, it won’t be cheap. But I would still advise against it.

I wanted to have an affair, but everybody knows my missus and is scared of her, or maybe they think I’m ugly, naw, it’s definitely her. So maybe I will have to go for the tattoo. I also have the motorbike, so can’t go down that route.
