Miss Piggy

I wasn’t talking anyone down, my first comments where to people that make that mistake of shooting before it’s got close, a running boar head on is really fast and my comment was from experience, wait till it’s as close as possible, you don’t have to aim if it’s that close and from her vid she missed, using a knife on an unwounded boar without a dog takes some doing, especially face on as it was, an injury would definitely happen in that situation, to add boar are not like deer where they will run off, if your in the way you will be on the receiving end as they tend to get a little peed off, regards Wayne
and to help you, your link UKSHA should point to your correct url of www.uksha.org.uk you have missed the .uk of chap

The Africa PHs say to kneel down to shoot a charging lion so it’s a straight line shot rather than trying to lead down and keep missing over the top. Luckily mine didn’t charge as not sure I would be up for kneeling

I think the sort of chap who kneels to shoot a charging lion would probably find it a bit of a relief for his legs, which are probably quite tired from standing up under the tremendous weight of his testicles.

Best advice I got as an honoured guest on a very rural local Sanglier shoot in the Languedoc was stand with knees slightly bent. When I asked the inevitable “pourquoi?” I was told with great merriment that it gives you a bit of a head start when the boar is running straight at you - they do not change course, you will not out-run them and in the highly likely event of you missing them with your borrowed 300 Win magnum semi-auto loaded with smuggled Russian (depleted uranium?) anti-pig missiles, a quick jump to left or right is defo called for! I have to say it was very sound advice - I have never seen anything move so bloody fast, well apart from me later that same day when to the envy of our gaelic cousins I set the still current Languedoc Fosbery Flop All-Comers record. Incroyable!

Bayonets maybe not so redundant in this case.

Wonder why she only had 2/3 shells in the gun? Are they limited on capacity?

Needed one of these:

Real fun to shoot right until you place a thumb over the pistol grip and the bolt runs over it at high speed. You wont do that twice.

I prefer just to shoot one of the trackers in the leg and then run off.
