My Springer has wrecked his knee with CCL not even 5 years old. There was no obvious injury, so an odd one, but after hopping about holding the knee up for several weeks I had him x-rayed and confirmed. Typical timing so that means he is furloughed for the rest of this season!
My local vet is recommending MMP procedure which is about £1k cheaper than previous TPLO techniques done by specialists. Does anyone have experience of doing either. Ignoring costs is one better or more effective for long term recovery? The vet was very honest to say he would never claim to know as much as specialists and he is happy to refer me if I want, however he has seen good results with the MMP he has done.
