MOA and Send it Series Comps 24Aug / 7 Sept

The MOA Series of Comps based at Eskdalemuir started last year and has grown in popularity massively

There was a comp last sat that had over 40 entrants - loads of different rifles and varied set ups

The Short action class (anything that isn’t a 223 upwards to anything Non Magnum and not Long action) - was won by a chap with an almost standard 260 Howa who made it all the way to the Mile target - superb to watch especially as he has run out of elevation on his scope ans was using a fair amount of holdover to get there

The long action / magnum class was won by Mike using a 300 Nm on an AiMc platform getting out to the mile target with ease - impressive to watch

The Send it Series comp is to be held once this year (24th Aug) and will, I understand be a more field craft (find, range - shoot) based comp, stepping away from the balance bag on prop style steel plate comps

Either comp will appeal to many members here who have more than a passing interest in delivering accurate shots on target

There are no egos at these comps, yes some friendly banter but that’s it

Anyone can enter, everyone is welcome, everyone will learn from the experience

Give it some thought guys

You won’t regret taking part

Similarly disappointed to have to miss Saturdays comp. Hopefully back in time for the final MOA of this year on Sept 7th. It's as Ronin says, absolutely no ego, all camaraderie, and you've the other firing point and targets to go at outwith the comp.
