Hi all,

ive a Weatherby Vanguard Meateater edition in .243 which is threaded in 1/2×28 TPI according to the specs, I can't for the life of me find a moderator like this anywhere and was wondering if there is a different name for this over here? i.e. would a 1/2×28 UNEF be the same? or if anyone has a moderator threaded the same where did you find one?

My Tikka T1x .22LR is threaded 1/2x20 UNF. I think this is standard for AUS, EU and UK among others. The same rifle for the US is threaded 1/2x28 UNEF.

Cheers

Yes UNEF is extra fine, a few more Threads Per Inch than normal 1/2" unf its the US Standard and not interchangeable.

It is like winter or spring beans Tom the winter ones have more on the stem lol.... :old:

Where have you ordered from if you don't mind me asking?
It was wildcat, I assume they make in house and as I know they do that thread for rimfires they are likely to do it for centre fires. Give them a call or your local dealer should be able to order, they didnt have a minimum order when I last got one in!

1/2 ×28 unef is standard on AR15s, so there should be plenty of options out there.
I've just bought an aimzonic from Alan Rhone with the right thread.

They have the camo ones on clearance from when they were the distributors.
