Went out on what might have been my last level 2 stalk on Monday morning.

Didnt get a shot, maybe should have taken one opportunity a bit quicker. But what a morning bucks barking everywhere and watching the rutting going on was terrific.

6 pointer and i really went at it and we saw some real nice beasts and even though you could say it was unsuccessful it was tense, enjoyable exciting stuff.

Thats what its about

Thanks again Dave

First of all thank you for thr nice comments and may i say it is great to get people in to deer .At this time of year it is really hard as the cover is very high and the shot opertuntiy is normally small. I have seen some nice deer rutting so far and i hope it continues. But it is also nice to be out with some gunuine deer stalkers who no what is expected. Red neck had what i call a special day but with out a carcase. We saw three real quality animals one was rutting really hard. But the opertunity,s for Him to get it on the ground were not really on This is were i find AW assessment hard work because a word in the persons ear at the right time could stop a person following a difficult path that he would never follow had it been his own area. Still we heard many bucks we could not see and these days make deer stalking worth while with or with out an animal in the bag.
With regards the rutting Bob talks about he is correct and has instigated a few rutting moments from his famous collection of picture on his IPAD:lol:

nice one, hope you get the last stalk done, im getting registered for my one soon, not seen much moving on my land though!
