My first Charlie

Been shooting over 30 years now and I’d never bothered shooting a fox until tonight, we've lost a good few chickens over the years to Charlie but its always been our own fault for forgetting to lock them up at night, well that was until a few evenings ago when Charlie decided to pay a visit in broad daylight and killed four of the chickens, so tonight i went looking for him and it didn’t take long, a few squeaks on the fox call and he came running it to about 70 meters from where i was sitting, the shot was down quite a steep bank and if I’m honest i think the shot hit a little low, but still took him out quickly.

Good work. I wonder if you've got the foxing bug now? personally I find them more challenging than deer. It looks like it was looking at you. If it were a mature one it wouldn't stop for long
Thanks, Yep it saw me shifting my position to take the shot, thought id feel bad shooting it, but id rather shoot it than have it come back for more chickens.

Well done 👍 Its interesting in the first vid to see the pigs coming over to investigate whats going on.

As the others have said I would keep on the case until you have knocked over a few more. I appreciate your stance but generally prevention is much easier then cure when it comes to fox control however each to their own.
