First off let me say thanks for taking the time to read my introduction.
I'm actually from Rhode Island, in the US. I'd like to join the forum to ask questions and learn about Red deer hunting in Scotland. I'm an avid Whitetail deer hunter here in Rhode Island and occasionally in Maine. The primary hunting I do here is actually with a bow and from tree stands, and when I was younger I used a black powder muzzleloader. I've also taken deer in Maine with rifle using a 308 and 30-06 and black bear with a 30-06 in New Brunswick.
Anyhow, my wife is wanting to go on vacation in '25 or '26 to Scotland to experience the countryside and see castles with my son (currently 10). My dream is to somehow extend my and maybe my son's stay to incorporate a stag hunt on the front or back end of the family vacation .
So, I'd like to join the site to try and gain any knowledge of the possibility of the who, when, where, and if it's even possible.
