Finally sold the the .243 and decided on what I wanted to replace it with. This is what I went for

New
Tikka T3x lite in 6.5 creedmoor 20 inch barrel
Ase utra 30cal SL5i moderator

Second hand
Bought a Swarovski 6-18x50 habicht off here

All ready had
Optilock tikka bases and rings
Tikka bolt knob
Harris bipod
Quake claw sling

Starting off with Hornady 143 ELDX factory rounds and see how I get on

Got it all together today, hopefully out tomorrow morning to zero if the weather plays ball

Will take some better pictures tomorrow (this one was a bit of a p#%s take for a mate)
And report back on how it goes

Friend has a creed. We had a blast last year shooting out to 600 yards, well more than that actually.

Well I learnt something today.
Optilock base can only go on one way.
I flipped them round with the screws opposite the ejection port, to give me better eye relief.
Went to zero and run out of left windage!!!
Quick trip home flipped them back to how I had them on my other tikka ( screws on ejection port side) moved the windage back to centre. Bang in the money

Had a look at spuhr but could not see anything for inch scopes

To be fair to Optilocks, I've had them mounted in different configurations and not had any issues, apart from the usual ring mount screw coming loose. But a one piece Spuhr on a T3 is a joy.

That’s how I had them and ram out of windage, flipped them round, centred the scope and bang on
