I doubt much hunting was done.
If you read the acknowledgements in the back of the book that was made after it, there are thanks to various game dealers, fishmongers etc, for always delivering the ingredients on time.
But we have crossed paths so many times.
Both in regards to hunters/guides they have worked with and hunting grounds/locations they have hunted on.
One thing I liked about the show was the honesty, if they wounded an animal, duck, deer, etc it is shown in a sober way not covering it up too much. I believe they struck a good balance in that.
The only thing they dont show too much is the hangovers they have had during filming
They have had an enormous impact on acceptance of hunting in the Danish society.
They have also prompted a lot of people to get a hunting license, and to be honest, that is not always a good thing.
