Name for pup?

As a rule of thumb I never give a new dog a name with more than 4 letters to it.... training is done by short and sweet commands so ( good **** come **** away **** drop **** hunt **** and so on... Just my 2 bobs worth!!!

Fletcher cos when you keep yelling at the top of your voice in an off shore wind from the bank it sounds like fetch ?

Why not name him after yourself "Red" or "Dot" depending on sex of course,
that said there can only be one Red-Dot. :D

I was going to suggest he named it after his wife/partner so when he needed to give her a verbal bashing so to speak he could let loose and then say he was talking to the dog, BUT.! All things being as they should be with the dog being a "Dog" and the wife/partner being...............! ( The opposite sex) He cant do this so im sticking to - MOOSE..!

I was on a shoot last season. There was a rather badly behaved Labrador called Jura present. The owner spent much of the day shouting the dogs name. One of the young lads beating turned to me and said:

"why would you call a dog Durex"

Makes me smile every time I hear the name now.

[It does sound rather similar when shouted from a distance]

:D
