Hi,
Finally got around to joining the group. From Orkney this last 30+ years. Been shooting since I was a boy which is way more than 50 years. Started out with airguns which I still love but now shoot and own many calibres from .17 HMR up to .30-06. Stalking has been my passion this last 10+ years, couldn’t afford it before, not sure I can now even. Get across to Caithness and Sutherland as often as I can to shoot Roe and Reds. Recently went a look at Kildermorie and last year Kinbrace, two fine estates that I hope I can get out on. I have a gun in my hand most days as part of my job and I’m also an RFD. As a leftie shooting right handed guns with ambidextrous stocks I’m probably at a disadvantage, one reason I’m so bloody useless shooting shotguns no doubt. Carry out a few basic repairs and load some ammunition occasionally.

Welcome sir.
I am also handicapped. I shoot right-handed rifles from my left shoulder mainly, although I am naturally right-handed. I blame it all on my brother teaching me to shoot years ago. I think he's not wired up quite right tbf, I realised this when I borrowed his fly rod one day, and the reel was set for a left hander and wound the opposite way to what you normally do with a fixed spool reel, he is right handed, hooks his fish in the right hand then transfers the rod to the left to play them... bonkers

Lots of good info available on this site.
